79TH ILOILO CHARTER DAY EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING CONTEST

Extemporaneous Speaking  is one type of contest I love to watch, it measures the mental alertness of  the contestants as they were given their respective questions  only three minutes before  their  time to  answer a certain  topic. And that was the event I watched during the 79th Iloilo Charter Day Celebration last August 18, 2016 at the Robinson Place. Fourteen high school students from different schools public and private competed in that nerve- wracking event.
Junel Ann P. Divinagracia  our City Tourism Officer is not only beautiful but  very accommodating as well. Yes, she is the very epitome of what a tourism head  should be.
The contest proved that we have  many bright students here in Iloilo City that surfaced, as each  delivered their respective pieces. The tourism OJT's did wonderful intermission numbers, well there's no need to invite or hire  outside talents, our tourism office has lots of them, lovely and curvaceous too.
Declared winners, First Place: Elaisha Pomida of St. Joseph,  Second Place: Janna Marie Go, of Iloilo Scholastic Academy, and third place :Shaila Veronica Paris of West Visayas State University.
But I would like to congratulate all the other  contestants they all did very well too! Special mention to John Kendrick Lomibao of J. Oberas Scholastic Academy, he has a good speaking voice and mid-western accent that goes with it.
