Yes, a very interesting fashion wear is in the offing and it started at J. Oberas Scholastic Academy. The school celebrated the Nutrition Month last July 28 and the highlight was a pageant with the candidates wearing a costume with vegetables as part of the design. How did they do it, you may ask, well no answer is clear enough but the picture will tell us of the wonder of it all.
How the okra can be made us crown, red and green pepper as neclace, batuan as belt, asparagus as train, pechay as skirt, baguio beans as belt, onions as buttons, carrots in hats, mongo as sequins, and so many other details.
What are you waiting for, the trend now is WEAR IT AND EAT IT!

The Longest Passenger Jeep in the Philippines
Isn't it great to pose in the longest passenger jeep in the Philippines.
To feel closer to this wonder and lean on its greatness. That's what I did when I saw it, and it proudly beams at me with his redness.

JENNIE MARIE REGALADO CERDANA CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY
The Regalado's is one of my extended families. So when Jen Rex the eldest son of Rex and Jennie Marie informed me that her mom will celebrate her birthday (that was July 5) I readily agreed and bundled myself to their new residence at the Lessandra Subdivision. I'm so happy that Jennie's siblings were there, yes, they were still kids during my stint in the Regalado's business. Their parents Manong Teroy and Manang Masing Regalado then was into Jukebox business, their Millies Barquillos was a popular pasalubong during those days and their restaurant JENNIE-ROSE enjoyed a jam-packed crowd every minute, every hour.
With Jennie, Rose Al, and Phillip, we posed for some pictorials which I should say is a must, after several decades, of not seeing them. All of them have families of their own now. Sad to say that I was not able to wait for Inday Millie and Neneng Arlene and of course Stela, coz I had to leave early for some appointments. I had taken shots of their new home and some interiors, the enhancement was done by Rex himself.
Rex and Jennie Marie Cerdana is into Air-Con Installation business and others related to that. Their good works speak of customers in queue for their services. JENNIE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

PJ Aranador's Philanthropic Enterprise
PJ Aranador, the pride of the Ilonggos where fashion and creative designs are concerned, has an avocation so noble that caught our attention. He is the wonderful person behind the colorful square baskets featured here.
He teaches the young students of ESCUELA , the making of the square basket. It is made of fine handwoven bamboo strips. The process is quite intricate, from gusset to twining the corners, creating the spokes, upsetting the corners, weaving the side rows, splicing and finishing, cutting and tucking, rimming and finally lashing. He stressed further that he is not into perfection, but charm. Then refining the product as it progresses.
As a clincher, PJ says, "sure we will move on to more demanding designs on round basket. I'm so happy for these kids spending their time on crafts. I guess I am cloning myself on them to be a future craft- teacher too!"
